The first season "Pose" was a great success: After six Emmy Award nominations of the first season, it is now in the second round. The drama deals with content issues with minority issues, such as African-Americans, Latinos or the LGBTQI + community in the 1980s. Apart from their day-to-day battle for respect and being able to live their true self, so too is the Ballroom culture. This 80s culture found its start in the queer scene in New York and was mostly for African Americans and Latinos. On their balls the dancers could prove their passion for fashion, dance and performance. In the Ballrooms, the dance style "Voguing" was born, which later became known to a great mass by Madonna.
